Family Getaway at The Hyatt Regency Bellevue

Recently our little fam had the opportunity to visit The Hyatt Regency in Bellevue, Washington. Located on Seattle's East side, Bellevue oozes quaint small town charm, with all the conveniences of the big city. An abundance of shopping, dinning and entertainment all while being located in the beautiful Pacific Northwest and the plethora of activities that also includes! We visited right before Christmas and it was the most perfect getaway! The hotel was beautifully decorated with a variety of gorgeous trees and decorations. The staff served the most amazing snickerdoodle cookies and spiked egg nog in the lobby and every evening at 7pm there was the Snowflake Lane Parade which filled the streets with snow and so much magic!

There were so many kid friendly activities happening around the area, including Snowflake Lane, Enchant Seattle, The Santa Train at the Northwest Railway Museum, performances by the Bellevue Youth Theatre, Issaquah Reindeer Festival (at Cougar Mountain Zoo) and so many more! Although some of these activities are limited to the Christmas season, there is still so much to do year round in Bellevue. If you're headed there anytime soon, the winter activities are amazing! You can hit the slopes at The Summit at Snoqualmie, go ice skating in Bellevue Park or any time of year you can check out the beautiful Bellevue Botanical Gardens or the Cougar Mountain Zoo! And if shopping is your thing, The Hyatt Regency Bellevue is conveniently connected to the sky bridge that takes you right into Bellevue Square, Lincoln Square & Bellevue Place... with over 200 stores all in one place!

Dining options in Bellevue are amazing. From great cafes and family restaurants, to incredible steakhouses & piano bars (including Daniel's Broiler located right inside The Hyatt with stunning views of the Seattle skyline and Lake Washington). Trust me, if you love an amazing steak, dinner here is a must when your visiting! The also offer a chef-inspired vegetarian menu and a rooftop deck for cocktails & dining. For brunch, Eques is a must! Located on the second floor of the Hyatt Regency Bellevue, Eques is a breakfast/brunch only restaurant. Serving a fresh a la carte breakfast and a contemporary buffet. Menu items include Avocado Crab Toast, Cedar Plank Salmon Benedict and pictured, Poached Eggs on Toast … served on macrina potato bread with smashed avocado, roasted tomato and artisan greens. The food was truly delicious, and the service was perfection. And kids 4 and under can eat anything they want off the buffet for absolutely free... including their specialty Belgian Waffles! So, if you weren't already sold, I can bet you are now!

And finally, I can't forget to mention our room! Even with all the fun activities we mentioned above, one of our favorite parts of our weekend away was snuggling in the super cozy, King sized bed together and watching (Christmas) movies. It was the perfect ending to our busy days and just what we needed to recharge! Everybody needs little getaways like this... to refuel your soul and spend time with your favorite people! It really was such a perfect weekend... I hope you get a chance to visit The Hyatt Regency Bellevue one day soon!
